Movement Director & Creative Producer

An intentional movement direction + training studio, Taylor Casas is dedicated to working with purpose-driven individuals, productions, plus sport and lifestyle brands who are creating meaningful impact and shaping a more thoughtful, connected world. Her work aims to expand how movement is seen, felt, and represented in traditional and unconventional movement and athletic spaces. Drawing from women’s sports, circus arts, theater and dance, the studio creates work that honors strength as both physical and expressive.

About Taylor:

Taylor is a movement director, aerial arts coach and trainer. Her work shines a light on impactful narratives in traditional and non-traditional movement and athletic spaces. She strives to capture the human experience through diverse perspectives of age, culture, and community.

Her movement training is grounded in dance, theatre, circus arts, and traditional sports including competitive soccer. She is committed to a lifelong active and creative lifestyle, and encourages others to discover what moves them.

Taylor has worked with brands including HOKA, and performed in The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The CW: The Big Stage, New Victory Theater, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Off-Broadway at the Barrow Street Theatre in New York, The Tank NYC, Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre & Manitoba Theatre for Young Audiences in Canada, UnidosUS, and Hollywood Fringe Festival. In New York, she continues to volunteer and work behind the scenes at New York Latino Film Festival.

As an artist and athlete, she has experience in front of the camera and directing behind the scenes. Her knowledge of anatomy and personal training elevates creative and movement direction on any project she works on. Her direction expands her clients’ capabilities, focusing on their current strength and body awareness, creating striking images for the overall aesthetic and tone that elevates the quality on any given project. Her extensive physical training and performing arts experience allows Taylor to easily connect with her subjects and build an organic and trusting relationship, bringing out their unique and dynamic movement to set or on stage.

Previously, Taylor co-founded an award-winning acrobatic theatre company BOSSY FLYER, where she produced and performed nationally and internationally, creating thrilling acrobatic adaptations of classic stories and playing with mixed forms of movement and storytelling.

Taylor is a graduate from CSULB with a B.A. in Theatre Arts, and holds a diploma in circus arts from Circomedia - Centre for Contemporary Circus & Physical Theatre (Bristol, UK). She splits her time between Brooklyn and Los Angeles.

Her Approach:

Listening, grounding, and building from what’s already there. From a strong foundation, movement becomes honest, expansive, and capable of taking flight.

  • Empathy: Easily connects with each production’s subjects and crew from years of experience working with people from various backgrounds and experience.

  • Storytelling: Every movement tells a story. A hand grip on a kettlebell, the ease of breath in a static pose, or the rhythm of a sprint or group dance —these details define authenticity in a physical narrative for stage and camera work.

  • Presence + Professionalism: Brings a level of awareness, credentials from ongoing education, and respect for each role in the production. A ‘no-role-too-small’ mindset that prepares her to adapt when present-moment decisions are made.

  • Collaboration: Researches, develops and instructs suitable movement and body language for the project to share and utilize among the creative team.

  • Interdisciplinary: Years of cross-training, and educating various age groups in recreational and high-caliber movement disciplines opens the possibilities of physical language. The ability to instruct cross-disciplinary movements with artists, athletes, pedestrians, among other talent is invaluable for movement support and choreography on set or stage.

  • Play: Knows the art of making a good playlist in order to get people out of their minds and into their bodies! Play creates freedom—and freedom allows the body to move instinctually and to the fullest expression.

  • On-set and off-set movement support if helpful for talent or production flow. Instruct and coach suitable movement that develops a physical language to share amongst the creative team - from choreographed and improvised sequences, to subtle movement and posing.

  • From pre-production treatments, shot looks, casting a versatile pool of artists, crew, and talent, and researching storytelling visuals for video or film. Striving to keep your artistic vision in mind to align with movement or athletic accuracy.

  • Movement prep leading up to a shoot, campaign, or live production. This work helps talent move more naturally on camera, reduces physical strain during peak performance weeks or long shoot days, and supports a healthier, more sustainable production environment.
